Introduction to the Trip

This blog is a description of the Rock’s North House mission trip to El Paso, Texas. There were 12 of us that made the trip. Our purpose on this trip was to help a new church plant called the Rio Church. It is a Great Commission church like the Rock. The Rock is a non-denominational in Minneapolis, MN. We knew we wanted to bless the Rio Church families and share the Gospel, but there were many uncertainties on what exactly we would be doing. We trusted that God would use us in El Paso and we were ready to serve in any way possible. After a few short months of preparation the date of our departure arrived. It came up quickly and I was unsure whether I was truly prepared. After a few good days of prayer and a day of fasting, I prepared myself spiritually and mentally. I was ready and excited for this trip to begin.
